Better Wayz Rhythm *B x Springwater AL Strawbery Flowr

DOB: 3-20-2022
Color and Markings: Black with Moonspots
Linear Appraisal: not yet appraised
I feel lucky to have yet one more Rhythm offspring. I have 1 buck and 3 does from him, so it’s pretty clear I love these genetics. Blueberry has a beautiful udder, and her first milk test as a second freshener in 2024 at 25 days fresh, she milked 3.4 lbs of milk with 7.4% butterfat and 3.9% protein. As a first freshener, she milked in the 92nd percentile. Her udder is very pliable, and she has large orifices and large teats, so she milks out quickly. I really love this doe. She has the best width of any Nigerian I’ve ever owned, she’s very sweet, and she has overall very good structure. If I could change anything about her, it would be her slight dip in the chine.
DAM’S GENETICS: Dam Springwater AL Strawbery Flowr is a daughter of Sugar Moon Alejandro and Springwater BL Royal Rosa (VVEE89 @ 03-05). Rosa is a daughter of one of my favorite all-time goats, Springwater AL Apricot Nectar, VVEE88. Apricot was the 2nd place 2-year-old doe with 1st place udder at 2019 ADGA Nationals, and was one of only three does asked to milk out for best udder. She lost only to the National and Reserve National Champions. In addition, she has been an Elite doe for five consecutive years.
SIRE’S GENETICS: Rhythm’s dam, SG Better Wayz Harmony Carabear EEEE92, ELITE for SIX consecutive years, holds the record for highest butterfat producer of all time. On her third lactation, she milked 1350 pounds, with 136 pounds of butterfat (10.1%). In fact, Rhythm has quite a few female relatives sitting on the top 10 list for butterfat. He is a half-sibling linebreeding on SG Elite Old Mountain Farm Elton Jay ++*B. Elton Jay’s dam holds the highest PTA (predicted transmitting ability) and PTI (production type index) for the entire breed. (PTA Milk +349, PTI1: 581, PTI2: 357). In addition, Rhythm’s dam and both grand-dams have LA scores of 91!
A very special thank you to Nancy Boling at Springwater Dairy goats for breeding such fine animals and allowing them to make their way to our herd. We hope to do them proud.
