Jitterbug is still with me as a result of several sales that fell through. However, I have to say I’m not disappointed she’s still here! Not only does she keep looking better and better, she has decided she can finally trust me, and she has become quite friendly. She is a little bit hunched in her photo, but she actually has very nice back legs that track straight and very promising escutcheon width and roundness. She takes after her dam in so many ways, but I am hoping that she inherits better attachments from her sire. I adore her long dairy neck, her proportions, her brisket, and her upstandingness. In addition, the production from both sides of her pedigree (88th percentile from dam, 93rd percentile from paternal granddam) should make her a great milker! Jitterbug is actually turning out to be one of my favorites from 2022. Louis seems to have stamped all his kids with good rump structure, and Jitterbug is no exception. I love this doe!
